Questions for Friday, 4/30/10: (Thanks to Linds, Sandy, Jill, Lula Lola, and Julie for their question suggestions! Wanna be linked in a future Five Question Friday? Offer up your best question suggestions over here, in my community!)

1.
If you could, would you go back to high school?

2. If a genie appeared and granted you two wishes, what would they be? (And, no saying "more wishes".)

3. What kids show do you secretly like?

4. What is your beverage of choice?

5. What is something that you would change about yourself (or are working to change in yourself)?

----------------------------------

See ya back here...yes, right here, tomorrow morning!

Oh...and one quick question...hypothetically speaking...if your teenage son was playing baseball, and (hypothetically) a foul tip broke the window of a teammate's parent's car, are you responsible for the damages?

You know, hypothetically, of course.

*gulp*

  1. Well, if HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING, of course, it was a game, at a diamond, with score-keeping, and all official-like, no, not really "responsible" (that's one of those park at your own risk scenarios), but it would be a nice gesture to offer to cover or split a deductible. That being said, I know with my insurance, I have a zero-deductible on my glass - perhaps they do as well. Hypothetically speaking, and all.

  2. I have spent years watching my teenage son play ball. I say no, it goes with the territory. If you were outside a major league park and that happened, even the deep pockets wouldn't be responsible. It is a nice gesture to offer but, I would not expect it if my car was hit. It's the price you pay when you get a good parking spot. I am so glad it didn't happen to anyone we know. It could be so embarrassing.

  3. I don't think you need to offer. Maybe an apology would be nice, but it's a "park at your own risk" situation.

(Thanks for using one of my questions!)

  4. heck no! most people have full glass coverage. Besides Most if not all parks say "at your own risk." This is one of those things called accidents. You may feel bad and they may be pissed but your not responsible for the damage.

  5. If it happened in your neighborhood, you're responsible. If it happened at a park, you're not.

  8. I think if I were in a hypothetical situation as you mention I would offer to split the deductable or price of the window which ever is cheaper ...

  9. I too agree with Candice.

  12. Hypothetically speaking, when you go to the ballpark to watch a baseball game, one should know that there are going to be balls flying through the air. They should park their car in a place where as such said ball would not be able to reach their car. If not, they park at their own risk. That's just my opinion, hypothetically speaking, of course.

  13. Absolutely not responsible for replacing the windshield. If you're going to park close to the field then you assume the risk of damage.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Girl, No!! You aren't responsible! They should've parked somewhere away from the field...They knew their chances when they parked there...It's not like it was done on purpose...hypothetically speaking of course.

Come here looking for the tutorial? It can be found here:  Halo Braid Tutorial!  Let me know how it goes! I had something in mind to try on Baby Girl's hair the other day...my best bud, Dr. J, did something similar to it on Belle once, and I was trying to replicate it. Instead, I got this: Isn't it pretty?! It didn't take nearly as long as it looks and isn't nearly as intricate as it looks! Vlog tutorial coming soon...(for those of you waiting, I'm sorry it's taking me so long!)

Halo Braid Tutorial!

How appropriate, "halo braid", no?! ;) Finally, I have this ready for you...I apologize for the delay! This braid looks intricate, but is really quite easy and quick to pull off...the original video (prior to the warp speed braiding...watch the video to see what I mean) was just a bit over 8 minutes long...not too shabby! So, here you go...right in time for you to try it out on your little girl for Easter!

Oh, hold it...wait just a sec (again)...actually, I got this recipe from Melissa...yes, the Melissa of this story ! And this story ...which, well...is the same story, just told two different ways! ;) So, you can thank her...I guess. Well, in any event...prepare your tastebuds to be tantalized! You'll need this: And, this: You'll also need chicken breasts or steak, but since photographing your "main ingredient" is, like, soooo passe, I've left it out. ( Ahem... ) Just keepin ' up with the times, friend. So...slice up those peppers and onions into cute little strips... And...try your best to not slice up the little fingers that are sneaking away pepper strips... (Lemme just inte
